When you decide to build your dream home you have the freedom to choose a home design that fits your lifestyle. First Home Buyers, Jess and John, knew they want to build as they were too time poor for renovations to an existing dwelling and most importantly wanted a home that felt like theirs as soon as they moved in.
“When we were looking for a builder for our home, we looked at the price, inclusions and most importantly a floorplan that ticked all of our boxes” says Jess.
“Then we found Fairhaven who suited all of our needs” she continued.
When the pair were on the search for the perfect home design, they had the added challenge as it was during lockdown. They were unable to visit any display homes in person or unable to speak face to face with our New Home Consultants.
“However, Fairhaven were helpful in providing us information regarding the Bridgewater range and their website was a useful tool when selecting a floor plan with interactive walk throughs” says Jess.
Fairhaven has over 40 virtual home tours of current and previous display homes allowing you to view the homes from the comfort of your couch. The virtual home tour allows you to take a self-guided trip of our stunning display homes.
“Due to covid we were unable to visit any displays however, the interactive walk throughs were very useful”.
Ultimately the couple fell in love with the Merimbula 239. Offering zoned living, featuring a Main Bedroom with Ensuite and Walk-In-Robe at the front and three additional bedrooms at the rear of the home. Suitable for blocks from 12.5 metres wide, Merimbula 239 features a Rumpus adjacent to an open plan Kitchen, Meals and Family.
The couple stated the myHAVEN Selection appointment was “One of the highlights of our build process, even though it was conducted online.” In fact, Jess had gone the extra mile and provided a mood board for the appointment.
“The Interior Designer was very helpful assisting us to achieve our vision/interior design taste. They showed us relevant options based on the mood board and most importantly stayed within our budget,” says Jess.
The style that would best describe their Merimbula would be “Scandinavian, wanting the house to feel light, spacious and airy” she concluded.
“Now we have moved into our home we are very happy with all of our choices” she continued.
Jess and John’s favourite part of building “was choosing all of our colour and home variations and watching it come to life. We are in our home that reflects us and feels like our own”.
The team at Fairhaven “were very helpful throughout our build journey and our Customer Relationships Officer felt like they truly cared about our home and experience.” Said the couple.
The happiest moment of our building journey by far was Handover and receiving the keys to their new home. “We were thrilled to finally be able to make it ours and turn it into a home.”
When asked would the pair build with Fairhaven again they replied happily! Due to the “quality of our build and the helpful staff.”
