Young couple Alfredo and Darlene, wanted to achieve the great Australian dream and purchase their first home after migrating from overseas.
“We decided to build so that we had the flexibility in the design of our house based on our plans and goals in the future. For a young family like us, building is a journey we have been wanting to embark on.” Alfredo shares.
After visiting several display homes from other builders, the pair visited Fairhaven’s display homes.
“We found ourselves revisiting Fairhaven’s display homes. They feel like our own home to us.
Not to mention their New Home Consultants in every display are really accommodating.”
The couple had purchased their block of land in Melbourne’s South East prior to choosing to build with Fairhaven.
Darlene described the Bridgewater process as straight forward, flexible plus there’s lots of floorplan options to choose from.
Alfredo and Darlene fell for the Clovelly from the first visit to the display home at Meridian estate.
The Clovelly offers four large Bedrooms and an open plan Family and Meals area. The Main Bedroom is located at the front of the home, with a central Bathroom and a separate Powder Room at the rear, servicing the remaining Bedrooms.
“[We love] the open space Family and Meals area. Everyone who visits is surprised how much space we have in our home.”
Any non-negotiables for their home?
“Yes, there are a few things like raked ceiling, separate Kitchen sink from the island bench and a good sized pantry.”
“The colour selection process was fun and easy! We enjoyed browsing and exploring the options for our home.”
Their interior style for the home is described as bright open space and natural colour.
“Our favourite part about building was the handover.” Says Darlene
“It was satisfying to see the plans come to life and move into our home. Our handover was smooth and stress free considering that it was almost Christmas.”
“The happiest moment was when our Site Supervisor handed over the keys. Everything became real in that moment.” She concluded.
“The team was great and couldn’t fault them. They have been honest and accommodating. Despite changing our Site Supervisor halfway through the build, we never had a big issue with our build. The team made the building process easy for us as first home builders.” Said Alfredo.
The couple would recommend building with Fairhaven because they are great and fun to work with!
“You won’t feel alone as the Fairhaven team explains each process of the build and will listen to you as well.”
When asked would they build with Fairhaven again, their response was “Definitely. It would be a double storey next time.”
From the New Home Consultant to the Customer Relationship Officer and Site Supervisors everyone was easy to deal with.
“The outstanding moment for us was when our Site Supervisor booked our handover a week before Christmas, on a Friday late in the afternoon.”
“We saw how dedicated they are in delivering our home just before the holidays. Because of that, we had the best Christmas day and New Years Day in our own home.”
“We also were able to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday in our home a week after moving in.”
Any advice for anyone who is considering building with Fairhaven?
“Don’t be afraid to ask questions.”
“Always have open and good communication with your Customer Relationship Officer and Site Supervisor. We had two supervisor’s and they both were great, so always ask your supervisor if you can visit and meet them on-site, as they are friendly and will accommodate.”
